In recent times I have received a number of awards from kind and talented people. I am honoured and moved and would like to take this opportunity to thank them – and name them.
A lot of these awards have rules but I am now reading so many wonderful blogs, I’m not just being polite when I say I can’t choose so, I want to try what Kianys tried a few months ago – if I am subscribed to your blog consider yourself nominated for any or every award and post it on your blog. Please. My subscription is my nomination.
Now to let you have a look at the wonderful people who nominated me –
I received the Kreativ Blogger Award from Jacqueline at maturestudenthanginginthere – have a look at her blog if you haven’t visited already. I think you’ll enjoy this resourceful and kind-hearted woman – juggling an enormous work-load, cheerfully – and with lipstick – this woman is definitely dancing as fast as she can.
Because we Celtic types stick together Jacqueline also nominated me for the 7×7 Award. As did Jane at Jane Thorne. Jane’s blog is thoughtful, inspiring and absolutely gorgeous to look at! Go have a look.
Another resilient and hardworking blogger who is dedicated to inspiring his readers to live a full and active life, is Miro at Warrior Poet Wisdom and he has very kindly awarded me the ABC – Awesome Blog Content Award. Miro’s blog is a treasure trove of inspiring poetry, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Kianys at 30 Years of Growing Pains is posting daily quotes and pictures in spite of a huge work load. As well as inventing the help-yourself-to-an-award system (which I am really only appreciating now) she also has a very interesting back catalogue of posts. Before she set off on her latest intense work project, she awarded me loads of great awards including the HUG Award – this is a very cool award which is not restricted to the internet – the acronym stands for Hope Unites Globally – the award requires this link to be inserted as well so here goes – http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/ I am deeply honoured to receive it.
She also very kindly awarded me the Tell me About Yourself Award. I won’t bore you with details about myself because I’m not that interesting but I am grateful for the award! Thank you so much, Kianys – sorry for the delay in acknowledgement!
Another amazing honour for me was to receive the Forget-me-Not Award from Kate at Kate Swaffer – Creating Life With Words. In spite of a diagnosis of very early on-set dementia, Kate writes, performs and campaigns – what a woman! Have a look at her blog, I’m sure you’ll find it as inspiring as I do.
Kana, at Kana’s Chronicles, has also generously nominated me for the Sunshine Award. Kana’s blog has a truly eclectic mix in it’s archive – covering every subject from addiction to parenting. Go have a look – I’m very sure you’ll find something you like.
Last but not least Susan – a constant source of inspiration – at Susan Writes Precise – Writing Precisely For You – recently gave me the Candle Lighter Award. Go visit Susan’s blog – I know you won’t be disappointed.
I sincerely thank all of you for your support and acknowledgement – there is no way of writing this that doesn’t sound cheesy but that really doesn’t make it less true – it really means a lot.
As a tribute and thank you to all of these wonderful people – and all the rest of you as well as you cherry-pick your own blog awards – I offer you this video – it is a good cause but apart from that it is ridiculously cool as well. Win/win I’d have to say…
