Here’s a very interesting talk –

And a very interesting example of her point –
The Red Wheelbarrow (William Carlos Williams)
so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens.
Interesting…small words can pack power that is simple and direct!
That is the absolute truth – maybe they are like lasers?
Just like the old saying…’Short and to the point!’ Couldn’t agree more…Thanks! VK
Exactly! Nothing gets lost – hard to achieve though.
Love the poem. Clarity may capture the attention, but uncertainty keeps it alive.
I’ve always thought of it as almost the perfect poem. Interesting point about uncertainty – hmmmm…
There is no substitute for superlative…so when in doubt aspire! Love your train of thought!
Thanks so much – glad you enjoyed it!
Its not always what you say.. but the way you same them that holds the power within them..
Blessings sent your way.. Sue
That is, of course, completely true – regardless of how many words are used. Thanks for making that point.
I really enjoyed this. Simple is indeed beautiful… Like they say, the KISS Principle is always best ,rt? : Keep It Short & Simple! 😉
Beautiful but hard to achieve often – glad you liked it.
Wonderful lesson on simplicity in terminology–and very humorous, as well. Oh, do I so need this lesson! This is one of the reasons we all hate lawyers–those pesky confusing legal terms.
We all need this lesson! 🙂
