Stupid, stupid, men. Women as possessions. It’s like keeping a beautiful bird in a cage.
We make a lot of mistakes as human beings. Unfortunately some of them cause an inordinate amount of suffering. Thanks.
While we know this is happening, the numbers and brutality stuns. I watched in tears.
It is shocking to put faces to the statistics isn’t it? But necessary. Thanks.
It sickens me and makes me angry. Pedophilia by any other name is pedophilia, and it should be punished.
I totally agree and the sex is only part of the crime.
This just reminds me how much so many segments of the male population on earth continue to fear mature females. They can only be “true men” in the presence of very young girls! There are some very deep issues of the female pscyhe over a lifetime that need to be much more deeply contemplated here!
I wish women would see this power in themselves and use it to resist more of what happens to them and their daughters.
Words are failing me. I am thinking about my daughter, and about all these girls who are somebody’s daughter but could not be protected from a brutal world.
Thank you for this post.
They can be protected but it needs a shift in viewpoint. Everybody – including their parents – needs to say stop. Thanks for the comment.
